There are a lot of people who want to try to become the next big movie director. This dream is something that i will shoot for before my life is over. I was reading about some of the great indie directors and i found some really interesting stats. Hollywood has recognized indie pictures as major sources of income. Some of these films gross thousands of times profit per picture. For example, the blair witch project had a budget of 35 thousand dollars and made over 140 million dollars. That is 4000 times profit. Any business type will look at this figure and invest for a quality picture. It is not up to you to create a winner.
If you want to get started with you dream of making a movie, you should read certain books. Syd field is known as the screen writing expert. You can also read rich schmidt for inspiration and practical advice on how to make a movie for the price of a used car.

I never used to chew on my pens when i was a little kid. I think i was hesitant in doing that because i didn’t want to mess up my teeth. I think that my mother told me that my teeth will get all messed up. i guess that i believed her. I also was scared that i might swallow some ink. I figured that ink would be like a poison to me. I was such a good little kid.
I recently started chewing my pens. I don’t know why, but i like the taste of the pen cap. I know that it is bad for me, but i just can’t help myself. I should stop doing this cause it is a nasty habit. It is also embarrassing cause i am an adult now. I started this childish habit as an adult. Weird how backwards life can be sometimes.

I suffer from IBS. Some of you may not know what this condition is. But, it is something that a lot of people suffer from. IBS, is also known as irritable bowel syndrome. It is a condition of our bowels. When i eat something spicy or heavy, my stomach gives me problems. I usually need to go to the bathroom often because of this condition. I first learn about this condition when i was in college. Before my doctor said anything to me, i never heard of IBS. It sounds like a computer program or something. But, in recent years, IBS has come into the main stream.
I even heard some stand up comedians talk about it on stage. I even saw the subject being tackled in a Tom Hanks movie called “the lady killers.” I think that we should all learn to laugh at our weird conditions. Our bodies are not perfect. We all have little changes and mutations. These differences make our world more interesting and entertaining. Above all, we laugh because of our imperfections.

Most people probably view themselves as being funny. This is something that is impossible. I know that there are different degrees of funny, but, not everyone can be considered funny. I know this guy who is the unfunniest person. I think that he understands what is funny, but doesn’t know how to execute it. He doesn’t understand the timing involved. He doesn’t know how to set up his stories or jokes. Funny can be a lot of things. Some people use physical comedy. Some are good at telling stories. Others are genius when it comes to setting up for a joke.
I believe that you can train yourself to be funnier. You won’t be a comic genius, but you can learn how to make yourself funnier. I think that all things in life are like this. Most of us are ordinary. It is sad to admit, but most of us are not that special. But, if we work at it, we can go above the ordinary. Funny works the same way. If you work at it, you can learn to be funnier.

I find that the habits around the dinner table to be funny. When you go out to a restaurant with friends, you will notice that everybody has their own set up dinner table manners. One thing that most people when they share food is leave one piece at the end. Most people are hesitant to take the last piece. Everyone eyes the prize in the middle, but no one wants to be the guy who takes the last piece. Out of the group, there will be one person who asks around the table for that last piece. They will ask who wants that last piece. Or, there might be a person who just takes it without feeling bad.
Which category do you fall into? Are you the stealer of the last piece? Or, do you eye that last dumpling quietly? Or, do you announce your desire for that last piece indirectly. I think that these types of table manners are really funny. Do you guys think the same way?

I just read in fast company that seth macfarlane, the creator of the family guy cartoon series is worth around 100 million dollars. I was shocked to see the headline on the magazines. I didn’t realize that he was worth so much. I guess the family guy franchise is worth around 2 billion dollars. The guy is only 35 years old too. It makes me kinda sad. I don’t see me making anywhere near that by the time i get to be 35. Also, i was surprised because i thought the creator of the simpsons and southpark were richer.
I never was a fan of the family guy. It just seems like it is a rip off of the simpsons. It just seems like a poor man’s version of southpark. But i guess it is not the poor man’s version.
I think that animation will become more popular as the internet gains more users. A lot of the newer shows will be animated. If you want to test out the market, you should learn how to animate. Who knows, you might luck out with a one hundred million dollar deal with fox.

I read on the internet yesterday that Jennifer Hudsen’s mother and brother were found dead in their home. I was shocked to say the least. I wouldn’t really think any thing of it normally, but i live in the Chicago area. I am originally from Los Angeles and LA has the image that it is a dangerous place filled with gang violence. But, LA isn’t all that dangerous. I think that Hollywood and TV shows like to depict it as such, but LA is perfectly safe. I think that west coast rap music is to blame for the negative image of LA. I honestly think that Chicago is more dangerous.
After i moved here to Chicago, i had my car broken into. This type of stuff never happened to me in LA. But in Chicago, this happens all the time. I had to pay like $800 for repairs to the car. The car was broken into because there was a department store bag in the front seat. It was a t shirt that i bought over at express. Because i made the mistake of leaving that bag in the front door, i had to pay 800 dollars. A 10 dollar t shirt cost me over 800 in repairs.

There is a woman who changed her name to a domain name because she wanted to create awareness for her cause. I don’t even remember the cause really, but i thought the story was silly and interesting at the same time. From a marketing perspective, this is a great move. Look with name changes did for p diddy and prince. And i am writing about this subject free of charge.
I think that cause was something random like animal protection or something. It doesn’t really matter to me. She might have started a new trend tho. I think that other people with start doing this to market and create awareness for their cause or program.
The internet is brand new. When we think about all the money that this new technology created, it can get pretty overwhelming. The internet is responsible for bringing down big media. People do not watch tv as much anymore. People do not buy cds anymore. People aren’t even buying dvds anymore. the internet is responsible for all of this. Look for other interesting changes from the web like the name change lady.

The news is filled with segments on the financial crisis. You can’t turn on the news now and avoid this topic. When the market is bad, there are people who find opportunities. The rich get richer saying become even more turn during these tough times. For example, the real estate market is one of the reasons why we are in this mess. Let us use this as an example. The prices of real estate properties is dropping all across the country. People who got into exotic loans are defaulting and foreclosing on their homes. This is bad news for banks and home owners. The people who have savings and cash on hand can try to weather the storm. But people who do not have money will lose. If you are a rich individual, you can take advantage of this market. You can buy up real estate properties for really cheap. When the market is bad like this, buyers can choose from a lot of different homes at discount prices.
I work in real estate so i understand how this works. I’ve been involved with deals that are one sided. It used to be that home owners had a clear advantage. They could ask for a price and would get it. But now, the buyers are in a desperate situation.

The news nowadays is filled with info about the financial crisis. Our great country is in a big time recession. This recession is something that can continue to the next year or two. I was watching a news report that showed that the states that are in recession have all up tripled up. Back in March, there were only about 5 or 6 states that were affected. But now, 6 months later, there are close to 18 states that are in recession.
What does this all mean to the rest of us? This means that people who are looking for new jobs will not find any. This means that the 4th quarter retail sector will be hit hard. Consumers will not have money to fuel the retail economy. That Christmas shopping season is the most important shopping season. This will only add fuel to the burning down of our economy. A lot of companies will need to lay of tens of thousands of jobs. More and more people will be fighting for the same job openings and more and more people will find it hard to keep paying those mortgage payments. Prepare for the worst.
